A CHEEKY LITTLE GOAT
December 5th, 2012 Earlier this year Simon Williams contacted us about using one of our images on the cover of his newest book of poems to be published in England. The match seemed to be a natural. The title of his book, A Place Where Odd Animals Stand, comes from his delightful poem entitled Goats that tells of an encounter with, as Simon put it, “a cheeky little goat” in the middle of a roadway. We had photographed our image of a little Mountain Goat when it suddenly leaped in front of our car on a mountain road in British Columbia. We only got two images of it, one as it faced us and one as it high-tailed it off the road. Simon was able to use both, one on the front and the other on the back cover. Simon and his wife, Susan Taylor, author of her own books including one we have, entitled A Small Wave for Your Form, are both artists who are actively involved in writing, speaking and music in England. You can see and read more about Simon Williams’ work at http://greatbigbadgerblog.blogspot.co.uk/ and Susan Taylor’s work at her web site at http://www.susantaylor.co.uk. Their work is well worth a look.
